University of
North Florida Science and Engineering Building
Client: UNF
Facilities & Planning Department Project Summary:
The University of North Florida issued a construction contract to
build a new $15,000,000 Science and Engineering Building. The
University suspected that the project completion date was trending
late, but the construction contractor contended that the project was
on schedule. The University hired Keville Enterprises to perform an
independent schedule analysis to determine the actual status of the
project. Keville determined that the project was trending 2 months
late, and the contractor ultimately concurred with this analysis.
Keville performed subsequent schedule analyses, including an
assessment of whether the delays experienced were excusable or
inexcusable. Keville also developed an independent cost estimate of
the value of all outstanding punch list items, for the University’s
use in administering the close out of the contract.
