Massachusetts Port Authority-Wide Construction Support Services

Massport is responsible for the operation, maintenance, construction, and repair of Logan International Airport, Worcester Regional Airport, the Tobin Memorial Bridge, and a variety of port and waterfront facilities in the greater Boston area. In addition to a variety of port facility and bridge projects, Massport is in the midst of a $3.3 Billion construction and modernization program at Logan International Airport, one of the nations busiest airports and the largest public economy generator in New England.

KEI's scope of on-call services include: resident engineering, resident inspection, scheduling, cost estimating, claims and change order analysis, construction staging, claims avoidance reviews, constructability reviews, and other construction support services. Resident Engineering and Inspection services included: ensuring that all work was performed in accordance with contract documents; coordinating construction activities with Massport Operations, commercial airlines, the construction contractor, the designer, Massport tenants and vendors, the traveling public, and all other entities affected by the work; monitoring construction schedules and change orders; reviewing contractor pay requisitions; resolving construction problems; and maintaining an orderly and complete document control system.
