Corporation
38 Chauncy St., 5th Floor ![]() Boston, MA 02111 Services Provided: Inspection & Scheduling Completion Date: 2004 Project Summary: Keville Enterprises, Inc. provided comprehensive design scheduling services, AutoCad support, and Construction Quality Control Inspection and Testing for the Route 3 Widening Project. The Route 3 North Transportation Improvements Project was undertaken primarily to address chronic traffic congestion on Route 3 North. It involved the addition of a travel lane in each direction for the 21-mile long corridor, from and including its interchange with Route I-95/128 in Burlington to the New Hampshire border. This project also included addition of Median shoulders, replacement and the widening of bridges, improvements to 13 interchanges, and the installation of an ITS system. More importantly however, it is a National Quality Initiative (NQI) Demonstration project and is one of the first to employ a systematic QC/QA approach under recently enacted federal legislation applying to FHWA funded projects (23CFR 637 part b). Keville Enterprises offered its services as a direct subconsultant to URS and Modern Continental. Modern Continental provided the Construction services and URS provided the design services. |
